Here’s a reminder from
THE BUSH REGIME MEMORIAL SOCIETY
December 14th is almost here – that’s right, it’s SHOE DAY!
SHOE DAY commemorates the day that Iraqi journalist Muntadar al-Zaidi so perfectly translated the revulsion and anger so many of us felt into action by chucking his shoes at George W. Bush.
And as we here at the BRMS predicted, attempts to “rehabilitate” the dreadful legacy of the Bush regime have proliferated. So once again it’s necessary to remind those who need reminding that we DO NOT and NEVER WILL miss George W. Bush!
So here’s what you do – take an old shoe, sneaker, slipper, whatever – wrap it up and send it along with a note, mentioning that YOU STILL REMEMBER what a disaster the Bush Regime was for the United States and the world.
You can send your footwear to the George W. Bush Library at
George W. Bush Presidential Library
2943 SMU Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75205
In addition, we recommend sending shoes to some of the institutions that helped make George W. Bush what he was. This could include your local affiliate of FOX News, your local Republican state or county committee, or any of the many conservative think tanks, such as the
American Enterprise Institute
1150 Seventeenth Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036
(where several neocons still get their mail)
The Heritage Foundation
214 Massachusetts Ave NE, Washington DC 20002-4999
You might also send an especially stinky shoe or two to Karl “The Architect” Rove, at this address:
Crossroads GPS/American Crossroads
P.O. Box 34413, Washington, DC 20043
Remember, only send completely dilapidated, worthless, irreparable footwear. If you have shoes that are still wearable, please donate them to a worthwhile charity. If you don’t have any actual shoes you could send, don’t let that stop you – use your creativity! Send a drawing of shoes, a photo, a clay model, whatever. And do please spread the word!
